Quenching Thirst: A Lifeline for Thade, Rasuwa

September 12, 2024
This ambitious initiative involved the installation of a 1,800-meter water pipe from a source located at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level to the village. The project also included:
  • The installation of two new 10,000-liter community tanks
  • The repair of an old RCC community tank
  • The successful connection of the water supply to local community taps
Despite facing monsoon challenges such as heavy rainfall and landslides, the project was completed successfully, bringing 24-hour running water to the community for the first time. This milestone marks a significant improvement in the quality of life for the villagers, who now have access to a reliable and sustainable water source.
The project was officially handed over to the villagers in September 2024, empowering them to take ownership of this vital resource.
The Dolma Foundation remains committed to addressing basic needs and improving lives in Nepal’s most underserved regions. The Water Supply Project in Thade stands as a testament to our dedication and resilience in overcoming even the most challenging circumstances.
